Okay, it's not about the Pipsqueak, but this post does have importance for the future of this blog.
After a period of increasingly weird (negative) behavior by my laptop -- some mentioned here, much not -- I finally got all the information I needed and wiped the beast clean. I spent a chunk of yesterday and most of today re-installing, re-positioning, and re-creating what went away when I clicked that "Erase" button in Disk Utility (honestly one of the most nerve-wracking things I've done in a while) but as of right now, I only have a few more apps to re-install and everything's working better than I had hoped.
What this means is, after another day or two of tweaking & testing, I'll be able to get back to posting here on a more regular basis PLUS posting pictures again... So stay tuned, we're back on the air!
YIPEE!
Thoughts & reflections by the proud uncle of a special young lady adopted from China.
Welcome!
My niece joined the family on July 12th, 2010. This special young lady's mother is my younger sister, which in classic Chinese culture makes me her Jiu Jiu (舅舅) -- thus the title of this blog. Here I intend to semi-regularly post reflections, thoughts, stories, and assorted whathaveyous pertaining to our trip to China, adoption in general, and (mostly) watching my niece grow up. Since the web is a very public place, I will attempt to maintain my family's privacy while telling the story... but I invite you to follow the blog and come along for the adventure!
